Security

Your clients trust you with their photos, and you trust us with the files. Here is how we look after them, including what is not in place yet.

Your files

  • Every connection to Teasepix is encrypted with HTTPS.
  • Your full-resolution originals are never served from a gallery. Clients only receive watermarked, web-size proofs.
  • Our staff do not open your galleries, except to fix a fault you reported, with your say-so, to review a report of illegal content, or where the law requires it.
  • We run no face recognition and no other automated analysis on photos.

How clients get in

  • Each gallery has its own long, random link that cannot be guessed from the others.
  • You can add a password, a closing date and a pick limit to any gallery, and close one at any time.
  • Galleries are not listed anywhere and are kept out of search engines.
  • Clients never get an account, so there is no client password to leak.

How you sign in

  • Photographers sign in with Google, so Teasepix never stores a password for you.
  • Your Google account's own protections, such as 2-step verification, apply to signing in.
  • We ask Google only for your name, email address and profile picture. See the privacy policy.

Telling us about a problem

If you find a weakness, or think a gallery holds something it should not, write to support@teasepix.com with the word Security in the subject. We read everything and answer within two working days.

What is not in place yet

Teasepix is in early access. We would rather you hear this from us.

  • No independent audit or certification, such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001, has been done.
  • There is no second sign-in step of our own. Signing in relies on your Google account's protections.
  • Files are encrypted while they travel and while they are stored, but not end to end. Teasepix can technically open a file, even though staff do not.
  • You cannot yet choose which region your files are stored in.
